What We Do

Free play and potty breaks are important for dogs with busy owners. Every dog needs at least 1-2 opportunities to relieve themselves and sniff during the day. They should also get time to socialize with friends. Your dog’s primary needs are sniffing, licking, digging, running, jumping, climbing, problem solving, and relaxing. Most daycares and walkers can provide for these needs one way or another.

Going to the same place every day can quickly lose novelty and feel no different than your office desk. Westchester Wags sets ourselves apart with our attention to diverse and healthy stimulation. Dogs are taken to different parks and trails, alternating activities daily based on pack need (and weather conditions). Your dog may do a leisurely stroll on a paved trail one day, then a narrow wooded trail with rocks and fallen logs to climb the next. Other days, your dog will go to a dog park or private yard to play with friends for an hour. Water and lunch breaks, as well as enforced down time in the car, give your dog a chance to nap and relax, learning to be passive in close contact with other pups.
